BEYOND JUNE: Queer Art Hub URGES 365-Day Support for Queer ARTISTS

New York / July 8, 2026 – Even with 529 anti-LGBT bills under consideration across the U.S., the 2026 Pride Month spirit remained indomitable. However, seasonal celebrations are not enough to shield LGBTQ+ artists from year-round funding cuts, escalating legal hostility and unsafe social media exposure for LGBTQ safety, privacy, and expression online.

As corporate Pride Month winds down, Queer Art Hub is issuing a critical call-to-action to corporate partners, businesses and institutions to invest in queer artists and queer art 365 days a year. Its social impact-first parent company, Dear Queer Artists, continues to build Queer Art Hub to become the world’s largest platform for queer art and artists to discover LGBTQI+ artists, exhibits, and open calls worldwide.

Queer Art Hub is recapping a blockbuster month of high-visibility activations designed to prove how queer creative expression can thrive.

In June, Queer Art Hub partnered with international design and hospitality group Lore Group for an exclusive commission at Hotel Park Avenue.

The collaboration resulted in a public art piece created by multidisciplinary queer creator Kimm Topping. ‘Hopeful Horizon’ (2026, digital) is a colorful illustration that combines the colors of the rainbow with a golden sunset, offering a compelling visual for both pedestrians and hotel guests.

The commission is on view until mid-July at 444 Park Ave S, New York, NY.

Spotlighting Luis Martin for Brooklyn Pride’s 30th Anniversary

Highlighting its localized community impact, Queer Art Hub partnered with Brooklyn Pride for to celebrate its 30th anniversary at Xanadu Roller Arts. The event showcased work from Brooklyn-based multimedia collage artist Luis Martin (@artengineer).

Martin’s vibrant, layered artwork took center stage for attendees, blending nostalgic pop culture imagery with radical queer joy. Read all about the full interview here.

Combatting the “Pride Month Squeeze” in the Contemporary Art Market

Together, the two Queer Art Hub activations during Pride Month this year proved that unconventional spaces can serve as powerful, inclusive ways to access and share queer art outside of traditional, gatekept gallery settings. Altogether, content posted across Queer Art Hub’s social channels (@queerarthub) amounted to over 56,000 views over Pride Month*.

“Pride shouldn’t have an expiration date on June 30th,” said Garry Gray, Founder, Queer Art Hub and Dear Queer Artists. “Often, queer artists lack equitable pathways to traditional museums and high-net-worth art buyers. We are building an ecosystem where queer art is archived, celebrated, and spotlit all year long in a multitude of ways, whether its online or physical.”
